Dear Dr Whitcombe,
Thank you very much for your research on parental alienation. I have just read your most recent paper, Understanding and addressing parental alienation for Children in Scotland. I agree with your distinction between allegations of and proved evidence of domestic violence you have made elsewhere. In your most recent article you state that when a child has been subject to abuse then refusal of a continued relationship is justifiable estrangement. I would be interested to know if you have considered this in any further detail elsewhere in your research i.e. the impact on children of abuse and your views on contact in these circumstances. Thank you once again for your thought-provoking article.
